Get a head start on the rest of the Midwest by training in the spring! We will refine your boat handling skills, tactics, and understanding of the rules. Sailors are expected to have solid sailing skills and must supply their own drysuits. Students may use their own boats or charter one of ours.

Learn the art and mechanics of basic fiberglass repair. Using program boats we will take you through the process of repairing cosmetic and minor damage. Work alongside our staff as we take you from grinding and prepping through lamination and fairing to making it pretty. You will leave this class with a basic knowledge and understanding of how to repair everything from gel-cote chips to holes.
Come learn how sails work. We will show you how to adjust your sail controls to ensure you get the most out of the breeze and how to maximize your power and sail shape for getting around the course.
Learn to refit your boat and gear for a new season. We will learn to make good choices about line, blocks, and wire, how to make some splices, and how to clean and prepare winches for the coming season.
Come and improve your understanding of the Racing Rules of Sailing. A little time now will certainly pay off when you're on your game for summer! Using situations from Dave Perry's Understanding the Rules of Sailing Through 2017 and 100 Best Racing Rules Quizes, we will get you to a better understanding of the rules and help your racing game plan.
