Flag Football-House League - 10141101

Catch the excitement of Flag Football!
Basic skills such as catching, kicking, throwing, blocking, pulling flags, playing defense, and receiving hand-offs will be taught and practiced. Boys and Girls will learn and practice all of the skills necessary to play the game of football without serious risk of injury which could be caused by full body contact and tackling. For safety reasons and to promote skill development and fairness, kids in the 1-2 grade division will use Junior sized safety balls and their Coaches will play the Quarterback position. Kids in the 3-4 grade division will play the Quarterback position and use official Junior sized Footballs. Established rotation systems will be used in both divisions set by The Athletic staff.
If tackle football isn't your game but you still like playing football then, the 5-8 Grade Flag Football Program is perfect for you. This program will be 'pick-up' flag football games. Teams will be formed each week and games will last for one hour.

Lacrosse-Illinois Girls Lacrosse Association - 10141201

Be a part of a community-based youth lacrosse league exclusively for girls! The emphasis of this program is to develop the girl within the sport of lacrosse. The goals of the program are to understand the rules of lacrosse, active teamwork, sportsmanship and foster personal development in a respectful environment led by positive coaching. IGLA has adopted the US Lacrosse 'Player First' Athlete Development Model which means smaller fields and a smaller number of players. Kids are more engaged, get more touches on the ball and further develop their skills.
Ready to start Lacrosse? Join IGLA this Fall for a weekly one hour clinic for the younger lacrosse player. These clinics are exclusively for girls in Kindergarten through 1st Grade that want to learn the FUNDamentals of Lacrosse. Kids in this program will get 30 minutes of practice time and 30 minutes of scrimmage time each Sunday.
